Which Solids Control Equipments Fitted With Cyclones?

First o f all,the diameter of upper shell cylinder decide directly the cyclones’treatment capacity, secondly the other important fact is the size of solids in drilling fluids,the diameter of cylinder is the cyclones’nominal size.The cone degree of under shell has a range from 15 to 20,diameter of underflow mouth is from 10mm to 30mm.Generally the mud purification equipment is made of nominal size among Ø150-300mm cyclones and be called as Mud Desander,meanwhile it is called as Mud Desilter which is made of Ø50-125mm cyclones.

Cyclone Desander 　　

According to the desander’s treatment capacity to drilling fluids,drilling mud desander is generally consist of one two or three pcs Ø150—300mm cyclones.Each cyclone treatment capacity is not less than Ø20-120mm under 0.2Mpa.Desander worked normally can remove about 95% larger than 74microns drilling cuttings and about 50% larger than 44microns rock debris.

Cyclone Desilter 　　

According to the desilter’s treatment capacity to drilling fluids,drilling mud desilter is generally consist of more than 4pcs Ø50—125mm cyclones.Each cyclone treatment capacity is not less than Ø5-15mm under 0.2Mpa.Desander worked normally can remove about 95% larger than 44microns drilling cuttings and about 50% larger than 15microns rock debris.Desilter can remove the 12-13microns barite,therefore it cannot be used to treat weighted drilling fluids.When select and use desilter,its allowed treatment capacity must be the 125—150% of the largest drilling discharge.

Mud Cleaner

Mud cleaner is a combination of desander,desilter,and supra-mesh drilling fluids shale shaker,upper section is cyclones and under section is drilling fluids shaker screen.Drilling mud cleaner is the 2nd mud purification equipment.There are two steps when it treat drilling fluids： First step：Use cyclone to separate the drilling fluids to low density overflow and high density underflow. Second step：Supra-mesh shaker screen separate the high density underflow to barite and other solids less than mesh,then the other solids more than mesh are discharged from shaker screen’s tail.
